Guest Blog: Where to use Earthborn’s new Earth Collection colours

This summer Earthborn were excited to launch five new shades based on the natural world.

The Earth Collection was designed to be a timeless palette, with each colour inspired by the earth, the clouds, the land, the sea and the sand.

As a group, these shades work in perfect harmony. But when it comes to decorating our homes, each of our five new colours has a special quality that makes it perfect for different areas of the home. Read on to find out more:

~ Grassy ~

Inspired by the land, Grassy is an elegant, hazy grey-green inspired by misty, mountainous landscapes. It’s a perfect pairing for earthy yellows.

Ideal for bedrooms, it’s a calming mid-tone that helps to create a relaxing mood. Alternatively, use with warm off-whites, for a fresh, modern bathroom space.

~ Crocky Road ~

Crocky Road is a natural beige colour inspired by the earth. It has the faintest of green undertones, giving it a relaxed, earthy quality. It’s a highly versatile shade that works in all room types. But we especially love it in living and reception rooms for an easy going feel.

Keep it classic by pairing with shades of cream or off-white, or inject a pop of unexpected colour – brighter shades of blue or orange work especially well!

~ Skipper ~

Reminiscent of still ocean waters, Skipper is a warm denim blue inspired by the sea. It’s bold without overpowering and adds a casual charm to modern and period homes alike.

We love it in kitchens, living rooms and open plan spaces. Use as an accent colour on feature walls, or embrace this warm joyful colour in your whole room.

~ Up Up Away ~

Cool, calm and collected; Up Up Away is a dreamy off-white inspired by the clouds.

A slightly dulled back cream, this shade is ideal for just about everywhere!

We’ve paired it with the pinky peach tones of Peach Baby, used as a subtle accent colour to frame a window. It works equally well next to soft blues and grey-greens. Or keep things simple and use alone for a delightfully neutral backdrop.

~ Sandy Castle ~

Sandy Castle is a fresh, bright cream inspired by the sand. Capturing the essence of sun rays across sand dunes, it’s light enhancing and perfect for creating a calm, neutral base for any style of décor.

This powdery, sun-drenched cream is a classic all-rounder that can be used on walls, ceilings and woodwork. We especially love it in hallways and kitchens.
